Hampi and surrounding villages together are believed to be the Mythical Kingdom of Kishkinda mentioned in Ramayana. The Ramayana is an ancient Indian epic which follows Prince Rama’s quest to rescue his beloved wife Sita from the clutches of Ravana with the help of an army of forest-dwellers. In the fourth chapter of Ramayana, Rama arrives in Kishkinda in search of his abducted wife. On this tour we will hear the story as it happened here in Kishkinda after Rama’s arrival, as we visit important sites associated with Ramayana. 08:30 AM – Arrive to the start point of the tour and meet you tour leader.

08:30 AM to 09:30 AM – Kodanda Rama temples and surrounding areas

09:30 AM to 10:30 AM – Malyavanta Raghunatha temple, Madhuvana

10:30 AM to 12:30 PM – Chintamani Ghats, Ram Gufa, Vali Gufa, Durga Temple, Pampa Sarovar

12:30 PM – End of Tour at Anegundi Village

OPTIONAL ADD-ON EXTENSION

12:30 PM to 02:00 PM – Home Cooked Meal with Local Host Family

This optional add-on will allow us to arrange a home cooked meal for you at home of one of our local host family. The food will be a vegetarian feast served traditionally on a banana leaf with all local specialities of the region. The menu items vary based on the seasonal availability as all the ingredients are organic and sourced fresh locally. It will be your best meal on this trip that is our guarantee.

If you are a foodie and look for a authentic local experience then choose this add-on for sure! For most of our guests this is the favorite part of their experience in Hampi.

Local Transportation – A Chauffeur driven air conditioned car or vehicle depending on the option chosen by you.
By default we haven’t included transportation in this tour. This is because we want to give travellers the flexibility to use their own transportation. For those of you who want us to arrange transportation you can choose one of the following during your booking process and we will send your a quote for local transportation as well.

- A/C SUV Car with capacity of 5 persons (plus driver & Guide)
- A/C Traveller with capacity for 9 persons (plus driver & Guide)
Home Cooked Lunch with a local family – This optional add-on includes an elaborate home cooked vegetarian meal on banana leaf and drinking water.

Any meals, food or snack not included by default in the tour.
Any change in plan like addition of places to see or diversions might incur extra charges that will be passed on to you.

THINGS TO REMEMBER

Wear comfortable cotton clothes. Wear clothing that would cover your chest and shoulders. Wear bottoms that would cover up to your knees.
A cap or an umbrella to keep the sun out.
